ROC286AA is an industrial 19” 1U Rack-mount rugged fanless server. Based on Intel® Coffeelake 14nm Core™ Q370 Chipset, ROC286AA can be processed by 8th/9th  Processor (up to 65W). It supports up to 64GB of memory capacity, onboard dual Gbit Ethernet, 2 x DP (resolution up to 4096 x 2304),1XHDMI, SuperSpeedPlus USB 3.1 ports (10Gb/s). Also, ROC286AA  provides PCIe x16 expansion for high speed delivering, like RAID card, graphic card or 10GbE…etc.

The need for data security in Big Data era

 

In the Big Data era there are billions of bits of data produced every single day. With the ever-increasing data, how to handle volumes of data while securing it becomes one of the most important issues in modern society. From high speed read and write capacity to backup plan preventing from shutdown, all these features should be considered when choosing an ideal server for data processing. High-End Processing Units

 

Based on Intel® Coffeelake 14nm Core™ Q370 Chipset, ROC286AA can be processed by Intel® Coffeelake-Refresh i7-9700TE (8 cores, 3.8GHz) processor. Compared with previous generations, i7-9700TE processor contains much more compute cores, which means the better performance of computations on the data and much more fast memory caches which are responsible for holding data that is currently being worked on. So, ROC286AA could provides unique military grade capabilities and killer speed while dealing with a large amount of data.

PCIe x16 expansion

 

Also, ROC286AA provides PCIe x16 expansion for high speed delivering, like RAID card, graphic card or 10GbE…etc.

1. Sensor Fusion Capability:

By adding graphic card, the complete system could fulfill powerful CPU+GPU to support sensor fusion, which requires a powerful processing unit to be in the center, where all the raw data from the sensors is processed. Interpreting the data and deciding how to react, CPU+GPU can make sensors to be truly “smart” sensors and lead the whole system to work accurately.

2. Large Capacity Storage and an advantage of data backup plan:

By adding RocketRAID 4520SGL SAS RAID Card or RocketRAID 840A SATA RAID Card, ROC286AA can expand up to 8 Bays SAS or 12 Bays SATA RAID. By using a large numbers of drives ROC286AA is able to increase a great amount of storage. Moreover, ROC286AA can build a RAID system to increase HDD fault tolerance. In data security, RAID refers to the way which an array of hard disks creates redundant backups of the data, so data can be retained even in the event of a catastrophic system failure.

3. High Capacity RAM support:

Further more, two SO-DIMM, dual channel DDR4 are designed in our rugged server, increasing the RAM of ROC286AA up to 64GB and providing the best operating performance in such a compact size. These features make the ROC286AA an ideal rack-mount server for mobile vehicles, e.g. railway, trucks, and military land vehicles.

Dual Side Thermal Solution, Fanless Design for 1U Slim Size

 

With combination of high CPU computing power and graphic GPU performance generate numerous heat, 7STARLAKE emphasizes on providing exceeding thermal design guarantee system offers superior performance under critical environment. Based on our experience, ROC286 adopts dual side thermal solution, with copper heat spreader directly touches the heat source components processor and graphic GPU to absorb the heat rapidly, the heat then transfer to heat pipe; heat pipe is two-phase heat transfer involves the liquid-vapor phase change of a working fluid which can provide high efficiency heat transmission, the aluminum heat sink dissipates the heat into surrounding air promptly. Both side thermal solution is mainly for processor. With unique thermal design, 7STARLAKE is capable to integrate high power consumption CPU into 1U such slim size fanless system.
